1B AI users have not tried DeFi

DeFi needs more users. We want DeFi to serve a vastly expanded group of people that interact globally and pay with stablecoins. They will use AI to simplify apps and bridging and blockchains. So far, we have given them “agents” with limited and boring capabilities. AIScan will turn AI loose on a much bigger set of experiences.

AIScan is for Web3 builders and strategists who want to offer a compelling experience to AI users.

Here are seven reasons to get involved

  1. Grab a name. The first user to claim a name gets it. It only takes one minute to connect a wallet to our builder app, add a protocol, and give it a name. We reserve the right to take back names if you don’t eventually add and test content.
  2. Free. AIScan is community infrastructure, like a block explorer for AI. Your tools and content will be available for clients and agents in a permissionless MCP server.
  3. No Code. Use the builder app to enter your protocol, prompts, and smart contract calls. Click on the “Try with AI” link to go to the Vibe client and see your protocol in action. I confess that the builder app is the ugliest piece of boomer vibe coding that Bolt ever barfed out. The cycle is still fun. You can design an AI experience in a fraction of the time that it takes to build a Web app.
  4. Not boring. “DeFi AI Terminals” can be boring. You want AI to do things that are exciting and surprising. I am still discovering what these things can do when I turn them loose on programming. Over the next weeks we will turn on bridging, loading new protocol modes, Web research, and coding. The Vibe client writes Javascript and generates the views you want on the fly. We can always to more with AI.
  5. Stablecoin users. Stablecoin payments are a megatrend that brings in new users. Clients like Vibe give them a social login and channels to buy stablecoins. Then they can do DeFi things like invest for yield. They can pay for inference and tools. The big picture is that AI can help them buy lots of other things.
  6. Growing market. AI usage is already huge, and adoption can be explosive. Almost every coder adopted AI coding tools in the last 12 months. Now AI is moving to other tasks. AIScan is a simple way to prepare your “agent experience” for what is coming.
  7. Rewards and revenue shares. This launch will reward contributors who design and share “protocol” bundles. You can put any mix of protocols into a “protocol” bundle. We track usage of the bundle. We will send out 5% of the VIBE token supply to contributors when we hit 2000 active users. VIBE holders will get rights for governance, editorial, and revenue shares. Over the longer term we will offer direct revenue shares to experience builders.

FAQ

How does it work?

A creator enters prompts and smart contract descriptions. They get bundled into a “protocol” that we load into the AI client. You can chat with the AI version of your app as you go. When you get interesting results, share a “try with AI” link. Your experience goes into the Vibe client, and into a permissionless MCP server for use by other clients and agents.

Does the project have technical documentation?

If you are building a client or agent, refer to this technical documentation section on the AIScan.build page. Chat with us on Discord. Users can get good results with no code.

Is the product finished?

It runs enough pieces to serve an expanding number of protocols. Parts of it are broken or missing. We are using AI to make a LOT of progress every day. We welcome requests, feedback, and contributors. Contributors might find that they learn about AI-accelerated releases in the same way that we are learning.

What blockchains does it work with?

AIScan works with any EVM chain. We will add Solana next. You can add a chain in the builder app by entering a short name, ID, RPC URL, and explorer URL. I thought about pre-loading a list of 100 EVM blockchains. I delayed doing that because I am curious to see if people add chains, and how we can coordinate campaigns to support a chain.

Who are we?

I am Andy Singleton. I was employee #2 at SNL Securities (sold for $2B, now S&P Global Research). I founded Creation Mechanics (genetic programming), PowerSteering Software (enterprise SaaS, rolled up to IPO as Upland), Assembla (team SaaS, sold to PE). I have been working on DeFi launches for the past few years. In the distant past I have a Harvard math degree and skills in hardware development.

I am working on this project full time with two developers who have helped me launch a number of products during the past ten years.

Our Vibestation project receives advice and support from the Boston founder and MIT community. I will call out TBD Angels , AI Tinkerers, Sundai, the Smaht AI group including Nate Aune , Andrei Radulescu-Banu, Sean Kruzel, and MIT’s NANDA project, plus Lou Kerner and DAIAA.

Why are we doing this?

AI is increasing the supply of apps and tools, with thousands of MCP tools appearing every day. That creates an overload for humans, and it’s also a problem for AI. AI gets confused when you show it more than 20 tools. We want to make a client that will give you the right tool at the right time. AIScan is a testing ground for various ways to solve the problem of using the right tool at the right time. Our first solution uses crowdsourcing and human ingenuity. You make bundles of prompts and tools that make sense. In the future, we can automate the process. Today, we need your help.
